All Sir Garnet

I wanted to check the origin of the phrase "all Sir Garnet" and found your site very useful. If it helps others, I came across the phrase in a letter from Frank Ellis, a soldier in the 1st WW writing to his younger sister Gertie (who I knew when I was young as the companion to my Great Aunt Lucy). On 3rd Sep 1918, he wrote: "I'm sorry to hear that Mr Hemmings has not been well. Hope he's all Sir Garnet again now". Frank was killed on the front line 12 days later and is buried in France. (Mr Hemmings was Gertie's employer at that time).
