: : Anybody know anything about the saying: go ahead place?

: As far as I know that isn't a "phrase" at all, and I can't make out what it might mean without context. It is perhaps "go-ahead place"? "Go-ahead" means modern, forward-looking, willing to adopt new ways; a city or community like that might be described as a "go-ahead place". (VSD)

I agree with Victoria, although there's a remote possibility that one might so refer to the place where they bought go-aheads (a type of sandal).
