As the worm turns

Hello, I found the origin of the phrase "as the worm turns" on your site and enjoyed the definition posted here. As I read it, it seemed to me there could be an additional meaning. All creatures that do teading upon, end up in the same place. Taking a long dirt nap. That of course is the domain of the once lowly worm , but now it reigns supreme. Just a thought. Dave
