The phrase, paper does not refuse ink, describes the receptivity of paper to accept whatever an author, , may lay upon it. The irony of such a saying lies in the fact that an individual has the ability to CHOOSE what they believe. Unlike paper, a person has the ability to REFUSE INK! They can refuse ideas that an author attempts to "write" upon them.
