Hidden phrases

Can anyone help me out
Below are two hidden phrases/sayings/proverbs or whatever.
A fiend (used to be a friend) asked me if I knew them.
I am at a total loss as to what they can be.
I've searched the internet/books/libraries etc but to no avail.
He will not give me any clues, so please help
An example is 10 G H (10 Gallon Hat)
