: : : : Can anyone attribute the following saying " Certainty results in the end of intelligent discussion"

: : : : thanx

: : : Charles Evans Hughes, 1862-1948, said, in a speech to the American Law Institute on May 7, 1936, "...The history of scholarship is a record of disagreements. And when we deal with questions relating to principles of law and their applications, we do not suddenly rise into a stratosphere of icy certainty..."

: : 'thanx' is not a real word, it's not a pretty word but it's grossly unfashionable and labels its user a brainless nerd. 'Nerd', which may also be spelled 'Nurd', has an entry in the OED.

: Gee whiz.

And how do these "labelers" categorize people who start sentences in the lower case?
