Does anyone know where the phrase ' loose as a goose' came from?

As in fast as "sh*t through a goose"? Relating to the ease of bowel function in geese? Just a guess.

I've heard about a summer dress older women wear called the "Loosy goosy". (Wasn't there also a 1950's dance called the "Loosy goose"?
