what is the meaning of this phrase; just to mean concentrate one thing you do ?

Yes, I would say so, but also don't let pleasure intrude upon your working time, or work upon your leisure. Not sure if it is such good advice, though.

Theodor Adorno. Sounds like Adorno thought that "repressive self-discipline" was a bad thing, and so DFG's caveat that "work while you work and play while you play" is not always good advice has support. pamela
